Brantley E. White
Principal, President

Overseeing the development, construction, acquisition, and related financing activities for Ardmore, Mr. White has led the firm in the successful development, acquisition, and disposition of over 6,000 units valued at over $800,000,000. His 20+ years of experience in every multi-family industry discipline provides clients, investors, and customers with a deep perspective when encountering any market condition or property challenge. He is a licensed real estate broker, maintains the designation of Certified Property Manager, and is a licensed General Contractor for Whitewood Construction. Mr. White previously served on the Board of Directors for the Piedmont Triad Apartment Association and the board of the local chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Rick L. Hopkins
Principal

Mr. Hopkins currently serves as operating manager for Whitewood Construction. Previously, he was responsible for the management of over 10,000 units over the course of the past 30 years. Mr. Hopkins’s expansive breadth of construction, development and management knowledge contributes to major investment opportunities evaluated by the firm. A graduate of the State University of New York, Mr. Hopkins is a Certified Property Manager, a Certified Apartment Property Supervisor, certified in Federal Housing Administration multi-family housing requirements, and an NC and SC licensed Real Estate Broker.

Thomas L. White
Principal, President

With over 15 years of experience in the real estate and construction industry, Mr. White serves as President and Operating Manager of Whitewood Construction. Under his leadership, Whitewood has constructed thousands of high quality apartment units throughout the Southeast. Whitewood’s primary objective is to efficiently and cost effectively build superior projects that provide strong returns to Ardmore investors, while creating a unique and enjoyable living experience for the Ardmore customer. Mr. White also serves as Ardmore Residential’s Executive Vice President and Broker-In-Charge. Mr. White is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He is a licensed General Contractor in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama. Whitewood also holds GC licenses in North Carolina and Virginia. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.

Justin E. Tinder
Chief Financial Officer

Justin Tinder joined Ardmore Residential in 2015. As CFO, he leads the accounting, finance, investor reporting and human resources groups at Ardmore Residential. Prior to joining Ardmore Residential, Mr. Tinder provided assurance and business advisory services for Dixon Hughes Goodman, where he worked with various clients in the healthcare, non-profit, construction and real estate industries. He has significant experience with real estate development, including complex entity and financing structures for tax credit equity funds and renewable energy companies. He holds an MSA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Greensboro College, where he serves on the Business School Advisory Council. He is a North Carolina licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Lisa A. Russell
Chief Operating Officer

With over 30 years of industry experience, Ms. Russell has managed multi-family housing, new construction, student housing and provided asset management in twelve states. Her diverse experience in varies markets gives her the unique ability to customize strategies for each site, client and investor while maximizing their financial goals. She is a motivational trainer and leader in the industry that has developed her teams to be innovators. Ms. Russell graduated from the University of Houston’s Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management. She is a Certified Apartment Property Supervisor and was invited to be a part of the Texas Apartment Association as a Lyceum Graduate.

Rob W. Jones
Director of Technology

With over 25 years working in Information Technology, including 20 consulting for Ardmore Residential, Mr. Jones joined the team full time as the Director of Technology in September of 2017. Previously, he had worked with clients ranging from single person startup businesses to multi-national Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Jones is a US Navy veteran and a graduate of ECPI. After graduation he joined Inacom Information Systems and gained experience in everything from running a computer configuration center to managing projects for Fortune 500 companies. Following Inacom he joined the team at SDC Business Consulting and continued working with small and medium sized businesses before striking out on his own with Jones Computer and Networking. Returning to the corporate world, Mr. Jones worked for Longleaf Network and System Specialists before landing at Ardmore. He’s currently responsible for everything technological from managing the internal help desk, administering and maintaining property management software and their document management solution, Internet and phones systems as well as security cameras and music for all the Ardmore properties.

Ashanti A. Smith-Watson
Director of Training and Compliance

Ashanti Smith-Watson is the Director of Training and Compliance for Ardmore Residential. Her current role includes overseeing property administrative processes, training, help desk support, and special projects. Mrs. Smith-Watson joined Ardmore in 2018 and has been active in the multifamily industry since 1999. Her property management experience includes luxury, independent senior, renovations, and tax-credit. She is a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker, a member of the Greater Raleigh-Durham Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), and a Wake Forest University graduate.

Director of Marketing

Jessica Davis has been in the amazing multifamily industry for over 14 years originally starting this adventure in student housing. Mrs. Davis currently serves as Director of Marketing overseeing all Ardmore Residential’s marketing and advertising initiatives since 2018. Jessica plays a key role in identifying strategic initiatives that align with the vision and culture of Ardmore. She enjoys using her creativity and connecting with others to enhance and support their daily efforts. Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
